Lansmont helps China set standard

Lansmont sponsored and presented at ISTA’s 2011 China Symposium which took place at Lanzhou Jiaotong University, in Lanzhou City, China this September.

We delivered two presentations as part of the formal program. David Jin, Lansmont's Chief Representative in China, presented Packaging Solution on Logisitics Environment which highlighted Midea Group's use of Lanmsont Instruments and showed more than a million USD in logistics savings from lessons learned.

Our other presentation, titled Field Measurement Data used for Test Procedure Development, showed how field measurement serves as the foundation of new, more-advanced industry test standards, including many ISTA 3 and 4 Series tests.

The China Packaging Research and Test Center (CPRTC) represents and manages ISTA interests and operations in China. As part of the ISTA China Council meeting, Mr. Han Zueshan, CPRTC’s Vice Director, updated the group on their efforts to develop a new China National Random Vibration test standard.

Lansmont has worked with CPRTC since 2005, supporting their efforts to develop the National Standard. We recognize the value of innovation and research and directly support numerous educational and research institutions throughout the world. Our Liaison Program facilitates the deployment of our technology within the research and education community.

In the spirit of our Liaison Program, Eric Joneson of Lansmont presented Mr. Han Xueshan, CPRTC Vice Director, with a gift of two SAVER 3x90 field instruments during the September China Symposium. The instruments will be used in the effort to better understand China’s packaged-product distribution systems and networks.
