The HSX30 and HSX60 are Lansmont’s extreme high-speed shock test systems, engineered for applications requiring the highest performance levels. Each system is built around a super heavy-duty load frame, which both supports and safely contains the integrated table acceleration boost system. This feature doubles the machine’s free-fall velocity change capability, enabling extreme test conditions.
When operated in free-fall mode (without acceleration boost), these systems can accommodate payloads up to 2,000 lbs (907 kg). In accelerated mode, the maximum payload is 250 lbs (113 kg).
The design incorporates a suspended seismic reaction mass with integrated impact surface, isolated from the floor to minimise shock transmission to the building structure. For safe, intuitive operation, all HSX systems are equipped with Lansmont’s TouchTest Shock (TTS) Controller.
Depending on configuration, these machines are capable of achieving velocity changes up to 100 ft/sec (30.5 m/sec) and peak accelerations up to 7,500 g with test specimens up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
