TruMotion™ Load Stability Test System Acceleration and horizontal vibration

Simulate real-world transport forces with TruMotion. Test load stability and deformation with precision acceleration and vibration control.
Lansmont - TruMotion Acceleration sled

TruMotion Load Stability Test System is a dynamic testing solution designed to simulate real-world transport forces and evaluate the stability and structural integrity of unit loads. Built for packaging engineers, logistics professionals, and product designers, it replicates controlled acceleration and vibration profiles to assess how loads respond during transit.

TruMotion delivers precise performance for both acceleration and vibration testing, supported by X-Sight™ - a non-contact video extensometer that provides real-time deformation and displacement measurements. The system meets EUMOS 40509 testing requirements and supports compliance with the FMCSA’s Cargo Securement Rules. It’s fully customizable and standards-compliant to meet specific customer needs.

Applications

Test Smarter. Ship Safer.

TruMotion™ Load Stability Test System empowers packaging engineers, logistics specialists, and product designers to simulate lateral acceleration profiles, pinpoint the horizontal natural frequency of unit loads, and apply fixed-frequency vibration dwells to assess structural robustness.

It also enables precise measurement of both dynamic and permanent deformation, providing clear insight when comparing design changes for improved load stability.

To the right, the video shows a Sinusoidal Sweep test in action demonstrating how TruMotion performs under real-world vibration conditions.

Performance Capability

Powerful control for real-world simulation

Acceleration Testing

Define custom acceleration vs. time profiles with precise control over jerk rate, peak forces, and dwell durations.

Supports EUMOS 40509 with a maximum acceleration of 0.8g.

  • Input acceleration vs. time profile
  • Control jerk rate, peak acceleration, dwell times
  • Max acceleration of 0.8g

Vibration Testing

Simulate transport vibration with user-defined sinusoidal sweeps or fixed-frequency dwells across 0.1-10 Hz.

Control amplitude, sweep rate, and dwell time with precision.

  • Sinusoidal Sweep (0.1 - 10 Hz, sweep rate config)
  • Sinusoidal Dwell (fixed frequency, dwell time)

X-Sight™ Video Extensometer

See it. Measure it. Understand it.

X-Sight™ delivers real-time visual and measurement data during dynamic testing. This non-contact system overlays video footage with precise deformation and displacement metrics, helping you see exactly how your unit loads respond to acceleration and vibration.

With synchronized footage and analysis, you gain clear insight into structural performance and can validate design changes with confidence.

Options

Additional equipment to enhance your testing

Laboratory testing measurement

Test Partner 4 with DC Response Instrumentation provides the ability to read and resolve long-duration, low frequency acceleration and force measurements. This allows for verification of system performance inputs, as well as measurements of the unit load responses.

Field measurement

The SAVER 3D15 is the proper field instrument for investigating and measuring those low frequency acceleration events that result from vehicle accelerating, turning and braking
